Visual Artist, scenographer & urban practitioner @ www.alonarodeh.com

Alona Rodeh (b. 1979, IL/DE) is a Berlin-based visual artist, scenographer, and urban practitioner whose work merges CGI animation, game-engine production, and immersive light-and-sound environments. Her born-digital films and installations address feelings of safety, spectacle, and the infrastructures of the built environment. At the Prix Ars Electronica, she presents recent short animation films from her CITY DUMMIES series: CORE DUMP (Honorary Mention, included in the PANIC screenings), Runway Freefall, and Fogging, shown at DeepSpace8K.

With a focus on the public sphere, Rodeh works both inside and outside institutions and museums, collaborating closely with state and municipal bodies. As an extension of her practice, she advocates for DarkSky International. Recent solo exhibitions include Interzone at Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen (2024) and Phenomenal! at the Center for Digital Art, Holon (2025). Expanding from her short-form films, she also develops indie art games (WASTED, Token Eater [2024]).

Her series Nightcaps: Sculptures Against Light Pollution is a permanent public-art project in Berlin’s Brunnenviertel, which is part of her advocacy for DarkSky International. Rodeh’s works are included in collections such as LAS Art Foundation and the Haaretz Collection. She is represented by Christine König Galerie (Vienna) and Rosenfeld Gallery (Tel Aviv).
