Ilja Mirsky (DE) is a dramaturg specializing in digital dramaturgy at Munich’s Residenztheater, working at the intersection of theatre and digital innovation. Since 2021, he has taught Theatre and Digital Technologies at the Academy for Performing Arts Baden-Württemberg (ADK), where he leads the institution’s educational work in this field. His interdisciplinary background spans Cognitive Science, Politics, Literature, and Psychology, which he studied in Tübingen and Haifa. He holds a Master’s degree in Performance Studies from the University of Hamburg, where his award-winning thesis examined choreography between physical and virtual spaces. He is currently pursuing a joint PhD at the University of Tübingen and Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). His international artistic and academic practice explores the integration of VR/AR, artificial intelligence, and digital media into contemporary theatre and performance.
