Dr. James She (CN) is a tenured Associate Professor of Computational Media and Art at HKUST(GZ), with a joint appointment at HKUST. He is an active media artist whose creative works have been internationally exhibited across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Merging AI, multimedia computing, and immersive technologies, his artistic and research practice transforms computational data and systems into innovative cultural and sensory experiences. He currently serves as Associate Editor for Leonardo (MIT Press), and previously held Associate Editor positions for IEEE TMM and ACM TOMM. His scholarly works appear in top‑tier venues including SIGGRAPH, ACM Multimedia, Leonardo, ACM TOMM, IEEE TMM, etc., spanning multimedia computing, media art, cultural computing, and creative technology.

Actively engaged in the VINCI conference community, he served as General Co‑Chair of VINCI 2025 and Art Track Program Chair of VINCI 2026, expanding its artistic tracks and global creative outreach. He regularly presents at major international art‑technology festivals and supervises student creative exhibits at Ars Electronica.
