Magda Hamilton (US) is an engineer, artist-researcher, and founder of Velvet Disruption, a New York-based creative technology studio. Her work treats material metaphor as a design principle: building simulations where abstract phenomena — memory, thought, interiority — are given physical substance, and where choices made in code carry philosophical weight. She is drawn to interfaces that resist mastery and reward sustained attention, and to the question of whose interiority software is built to recognize.
