Since 2023, Niklas Beuter (DE) has been Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences. Before joining academia, he worked at Robert Bosch GmbH in Hildesheim, where he held several research and leadership positions in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and automated driving. From 2020 to 2023, he served as Group Leader and Research Coordinator for AI and image processing. Previously, he led the series development of deep learning-based lane detection systems and worked as a research engineer on computer vision for driver assistance and autonomous driving. He completed his PhD research on environment perception for mobile robotics and driver assistance at Bielefeld University in collaboration with the Daimler Research Center in Ulm. He studied Computer Science with a focus on robotics at Bielefeld University and graduated with distinction.
