Nozomu Kubota is an artist, filmmaker, AI engineer, and inventor whose practice examines how artificial intelligence and classification systems define the boundaries of normality. His work explores bodies, voices, and lives that are excluded, misread, or rendered invisible by technological systems in the name of progress, safety, and accuracy.

Drawing on his background as the founder and CEO of Creator’s NEXT and as the inventor of 20 granted AI-related patents, Kubota uses hacking, glitches, errors, and misreadings as artistic methods. Through films, installations, and image-based works, he investigates the violence hidden inside seemingly neutral technologies.

He holds an M.F.A. in Inter-Media Art from Tokyo University of the Arts and has completed AI-related programs at the University of Tokyo’s GCI and MIT Sloan School of Management.
