Rose Ansari (US) is a creative technologist & researcher, and Ph.D. student in Computational Media, Arts & Cultures at Duke University. She received her BFA in Studio Art from Alzahra University in Tehran and her MFA in Art & Technology / Sound Practices from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she also served as an affiliated researcher and fellow at the University of Chicago. Her research-based artistic practice investigates the intersections of art, technology, cognition, and the body through interactive installations, speculative prototypes, robotics, sound, and emerging media. Drawing on posthumanism, cybernetics, phenomenology, and human-computer interaction, she explores themes of embodiment, perception, trauma, agency, and technological mediation. Inspired by science fiction, biology, and immersive environments, her work integrates technology, cognitive science, and poetic inquiry to examine the evolving relationships between humans and intelligent systems. Her projects have been exhibited nationally and internationally.
