Xinran Wu is a new media artist and creative strategist based in the Bay Area, working at the intersection of cultural memory, spatial practice, and generative AI. Her independent art practice explores cultural and intimate memory narratives through CGI workflows, 3D scanning, AI tools, and immersive installation. In Anywhere Door, she pairs a 500,000-word nonfiction corpus with real-time AI so that visitors can hallucinate a Shanghai longtang resident’s life from the objects left on a door, proposing AI hallucination and human remembering as the same act of reconstructing the past from fragments.

In parallel, at MeshyAI, an 3D generative AI company working to democratize creation, she uses creative strategy to advance how emerging technology expands who gets to make in 3D. Shaped by her architecture background in Shanghai and Los Angeles, she moves between artistic research and industry, asking how machines might help us remember what can no longer be inhabited.
